Black Obsidian Blade, ceremonial Blade / Spear PointThis is a modern spear point ceremonial blade that was knapped by yours truly. Black Obsidian comes from several places in the world but this particular piece came from Glass Buttes Oregon. Obsidian was widely used by ancient people and was almost exclusively used by some South American tribes. It measures 13 1 2" in length and is 2 1 8" wide.

These are Mexican gold sheen obsidian pressure slabs

This Lost Lake is made of heat treated Edward's Plateau chert

Size 1 being the smallest and great for the final thinning and cleanup flakes

This lot will make smaller points
