Penguin Café, Mammoth Lakes 1940sThis huntin, shootin, fishin penguin is making the most of the sporting opportunities at Mammoth Lakes, California. On skis, hes also carrying a rifle and a fishing rod. The Penguin Caf was called The Sportsmans Favorite and served big breakfasts, hearty sandwiches and simple main meals. Hilariously, there was also a ladies choice breakfast. The establishment is long gone but weve seen photos of the Penguin Caf dated 1942 and it was a wooden cabin
