The bicolor variety grows crystals that are red brown and a grayish white color. This piece is long, formed of multiple rounded forms and flat on one side so it stands well for display. There are a lot of areas of broken crystals,

these towers are cut and polished from botryoidal prehnite pierced with dark needles of epidote

Dirt was used to "hide" visible glue in the crack near the center of the specimen (you can see the impressions where bubbles have burst from the glue in picture 8)

This calcite specimen from Santa Eulalia is a lovely deep red color from hematite (iron oxide) inclusions
