He has owned it since the mid 70s. The best man at his wedding was the customer relations manager for Schwinn at the time. The story goes, and I have no documentation to this fact, that the bike was Ernie Schwinn's personal bike and more fork rake than standard. The serial number is K72189, which I believe puts this bike at November of 1972. The 189th bike which tells
