I walked away from the Democratic Party and joined the Republicans.

I will vote for Donald Trump for president.

I’ve been a true-blue Democrat, a former California state senator who chaired its Senate Democratic Caucus and served as Senate Majority Leader.

I was a Democratic National Convention delegate for Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, and state co-chair for President Obama’s re-election. But I’ve said goodbye, adios, I’ve had enough.

This is not the Democratic Party I once championed. I don’t recognize it anymore.

The so-called “party of democracy” eradicated 14 million votes, including mine, to install Vice President Kamala Harris as its nominee. Like a banana republic, the dedazo was used by political elites to tap the candidate they chose. Essentially, they executed a political coup.

As California’s attorney general, Harris was unimpressive.

She made an intentional choice to hitch herself to the powerful teachers’ union and was clearly being coddled by a power elite that was even then shaping her political future.

Her manipulated rise is in line with the Democratic Party’s giant leap toward authoritarianism and censorship.

President Ronald Reagan warned that if fascism comes to America it will come as liberalism, and he was right: I have witnessed individual freedoms being trapped, silenced, censored. I’ve seen the terrifying modification of language that condemns me for saying that I can define a woman and can distinguish between biological sex and gender identity.

I am a mother and refuse to call myself a “birthing person.”

I’m pro-choice, but I do not support abortion till birth.

What happened to “safe, legal and rare”?

The Trump-led Republican Party has become the party of peace, while Democrats have marched toward endless war.

Harris has refused to speak the names of the 13 American soldiers whose lives were sacrificed for a photo-op in the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, but she has run from the blood on her hands.

The Democratic Party has turned its back on the working class.

Democratic leaders lecture us on sacrificing our liberties under the burdens of COVID and climate change and inflation, while they feast with their friends and donors at the French Laundry. As a Mexican-American, I have long embraced pathways to citizenship, but I reject the mockery of throwing open our southern border to all comers.

People around the world flock to America — we should insist on maintaining what citizenship means.

Perhaps my biggest disillusionment with the Democratic Party has been its refusal to embrace school choice and good schools for all. Harris proclaims she was a prosecutor, but she used her power to do the bidding of the teachers’ union and overturn a court victory won by mostly low-income, minority parents and kids seeking vital education reforms.

Meanwhile, she sought prosecution of parents for not forcing their “truant” kids to attend those chronically failing schools.

Today, in Harris’ hometown Oakland school district, 75% of both Latino and black students are not proficient in basic reading or math.

I watched the Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel with horror. The Democratic Party has forsaken our ally to placate the pro-Hamas wing and win a swing state.

I have seen the best of America: a nation that went to the moon and beyond. But our American landing has become like quicksand under a Democratic Party that is sinking the hopes and lives of Americans.

So I finally walked away. I stayed for as long as I could: I tried reforms, I spoke out, I voted. Today, I turn toward the future — an America that still shines, despite inequities that need change; a blessed land of opportunity — and join the party of the greatest American, Abraham Lincoln.

The challenges of rebuilding our republic will take all of us.

I join the Republican Party to make America great again.

I am free at last.

Kamala Harris’ Record on Catholic Issues: What You Need to Know

Harris has consistently promoted abortion, scrutinized Catholic judicial nominees, and opposed pro-life pregnancy centers and activists. She has also embraced gender ideology as well as transgender and contraception mandates that have, at times, jeopardized religious freedom.

Leading Biden Administration’s Pro-Abortion Efforts

As vice president, Harris has taken the lead on many of the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to promote abortion, including the effort to codify Roe v. Wade’s abortion standards into federal law.

In September of last year, the vice president embarked on a tour, stopping at various college campuses, called the “Fight for Our Freedoms College Tour” to promote abortion and other aspects of the administration’s agenda.

At the beginning of 2024, she launched another speaking tour to promote abortion called “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms.” During this tour, Harris became the first sitting vice president to visit an abortion facility, in March, when she toured a Planned Parenthood in Minneapolis. At the event, she praised abortionists and chastised pro-life lawmakers who voted to put limits on abortion.

In an interview with ABC in 2023, Harris criticized states that adopted pro-life laws and urged Congress to pass legislation that would establish federal abortion standards that prevent states from enforcing pro-life laws. In 2022, the vice president claimed that religious Americans can support abortion without abandoning their faith.

As a senator, Harris co-sponsored legislation that would have prevented states from passing abortion restrictions, and she voted against a bill that would have required doctors to provide medical care to a child who is born after a failed abortion attempt.

Scrutinizing Judicial Nominees’ Knights of Columbus Memberships

As a senator, Harris pressed three judicial nominees about their affiliations with the Knights of Columbus: Brian Buescher, Paul Matey and Peter Phipps. Her questions suggested that the nominees’ ties to the Catholic fraternal organization could make them biased because the group adheres to Church teachings about life and marriage.

In written questions to Buescher, for example, Harris asked the nominee whether he knew “that the Knights of Columbus opposed a woman’s right to choose when [he] joined the organization.” She questioned whether he agreed with then-Supreme Knight Carl Anderson that abortion is “the killing of the innocent on a massive scale.” She asked him whether he knew “that the Knights of Columbus opposed marriage equality when [he] joined the organization.”

Buescher, responding to Harris, informed her that “the Knights of Columbus is a Roman Catholic service organization with approximately 2 million members worldwide.”  

“The organization has a religious and charitable purpose,” he continued. “I joined the Knights of Columbus when I was 18 years old and have been a member ever since. My membership has involved participation in charitable and community events in local Catholic parishes.”

The migrant crisis is more costly than Americans realize.

Last year, US taxpayers shelled out some $150 billion in government services and support to help the 20 million illegal migrants in the country, according to a study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).

And most of the cost is being borne by state and local governments.

In Massachusetts, Republican leaders say there’s a $1 billion hole in state coffers — and they’re accusing the Democrat-controlled government of quietly siphoning off tax dollars to deal with the migrant crisis.

On Tuesday, the state’s Republican Party filed a Freedom of Information Act request demanding Gov. Maura Healey release Massachusetts’ full migrant budget, and alleging that the true cost has been hidden from the public.

In New York, the comptroller estimated that the migrant crisis will cost state taxpayers $4.3 billion through 2025, and New York City taxpayers $3 billion in fiscal year 2024 alone.

However, according to FAIR’s estimates, the estimated 1.45 million illegal migrants and children in the state already cost taxpayers nearly $10 billion in 2023.

While most states’ accounts of migrant expenses focus on emergency housing and aid, FAIR’s assessment factored in the full breadth of state services they draw on while in the US.

Services like education, medical expenses, law enforcement, legal costs and welfare were prominent factors FAIR looked at in its study.

THE 6TH COMMANDMENT: YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.

When our Creator issued these instructions for life, the society of the people he addressed, the Chosen People on their way from Egypt to the Promised Land, was a society made up of nuclear families, each of which consisted of a man and woman, married for life, and their children, whose lives were created by the loving union of husband, wife, and God, with God providing the new person's soul at conception. Our nation started out as such a society of Christian nuclear family building blocks, but it has sadly deviated* from this solid Christian Faith-based culture in the last few decades as outlined on our site's home page.

The very fact that "abortion" is a key election issue for one political party is a sad indicator of how far our culture has deviated from one of good moral health and sustainability. God's design of man and woman to be complementary and able to be joined was and is only to be within a lifelong marriage of a man and a woman, open to the creation of new life through their union, with God providing the new person's soul at conception. (For more on this, link to our FAMILY page.) Typically, women seek abortions after "casual sex" outside of marriage. The only real solution is to get back to God's original plan for men and women, i.e., to enter into a lifelong marriage commitment and "be fruitful and multiply".

In the Ten Commandments, "adultery" is any sexual act outside of a lifelong marriage of a husband and wife. Thus, in the chapter on the Sixth Commandment in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, homosexual relations are (rightfully) addressed (CCC No. 2377, stating "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered... Under no circumstances can they be approved." We need leaders who hold the values of our nation's Founding Fathers and who are committed to bringing us back to being a nation of Christian families, a nation under God:

• CCC 2482: "A lie consists in speaking a falsehood with the intention of deceiving. The Lord denounces lying as the work of the devil. (John 8:44)
• CCC 2483: "To lie is to speak or act against the truth in order to lead into error someone who has the right to know the truth."
• CCC 2484: "A lie becomes a mortal sin when it does grave injury to the virtues of justice and charity."
• CCC 2485: "By its very nature, lying is to be condemned."

If a person repeatedly lies in order to deliberately deceive American citizens, what does this tell you about this person's character? Can you trust this person? Is this the person you want to lead your country?

HARRIS AND THE FIRST COMMANDMENT: RELIGIOUS LIBERTY:

The following is from an October 12, 2020 article entitled "Kamala Harris' Record of Anti-Catholic Bigotry" on the website of First Things.com by Kenneth Craycraft, a licensed attorney and the James J. Gardner Family Chair of Moral Theology at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and School of Theology:

As a U.S. senator, Harris introduced the Orwellian “Do No Harm Act,” the purpose of which is to force religious individuals and organizations to engage in activities that directly violate their firmly held religious beliefs. And she is a co-sponsor of the “Equality Act,” which would force Catholic hospitals, for example, to perform gender transition surgeries, open women’s restrooms to men, and force girls and women to compete against boys and men in athletic competitions.

From California attorney general, to U.S. senator, to possible vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris has not attempted to hide her intention to fulfill Blanshard’s program of instituting a movement against the Catholic Church, and against individuals, organizations, and institutions whose beliefs, positions, and policies are consistent with the moral theology of the Church. Together with Joe Biden—John F. Kennedy’s assimilationist heir—never have two people with such open hostility to Catholic faith and practice been so close to the two highest offices in American politics.

Harris is perfectly willing to impose unconstitutional religious tests to nominees to the federal bench. In 2018, when Brian Buescher was nominated as a District Court judge, Harris put this written question to him:

Since 1993, you have been a member of the Knights of Columbus, an all-male society comprised primarily of Catholic men. In 2016, Carl Anderson, leader of the Knights of Columbus, described abortion as “a legal regime that has resulted in more than 40 million deaths.” Mr. Anderson went on to say that “abortion is the killing of the innocent on a massive scale.” Were you aware that the Knights of Columbus opposed a woman’s right to choose when you joined the organization?

She went on to ask Buescher if he had “ever, in any way, assisted with or contributed to advocacy against women’s reproductive rights” and if he “opposed marriage equality,” not so subtly implying that adherence to staples of orthodox Catholic moral life is disqualifying for a federal judgeship. And she has asked similar questions of other nominees to the federal bench.

Harris’s animus toward Catholicism is not limited to inquisition of Catholic nominees for federal courts, but also extends to harassment of public organizations whose missions are consistent with Catholic moral theology. In using her public offices to advocate against such institutions, Harris has earned broad financial support from pro-abortion individuals and groups.

For example, in 2016, when the Center for Medical Progress exposed evidence that Planned Parenthood was illegally trafficking organs and tissues from aborted children, then California attorney general Harris authorized a raid on the home of CMP’s David Daleiden, seizing video footage substantiating the evidence. Subsequently, Harris’s office conspired with Planned Parenthood, one of her generous political supporters, in drafting bill-of-attainder style legislation against CMP.

Similarly, in 2015, Harris was an enthusiastic advocate of California’s so-called Reproductive FACT Act, which forced pro-life pregnancy centers to inform their clients where they could obtain free abortions and to advertise abortion clinics. Claiming to have “co-sponsored” the FACT Act, Harris praised then California governor Jerry Brown for signing it into law. (In 2018, the Supreme Court struck the law under the First Amendment’s speech clause.) And in 2015, she used her power as California attorney general to put six Catholic hospitals out of business on behalf of another of her political patrons, the Service Employees International Union.

 Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris interrupted a campaign speech at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to ridicule two students who shouted, “Jesus is Lord!” and “Christ is King!” as the candidate promised a cheering crowd that if elected, she would establish abortion rights without limits.

“Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally,” Harris quipped as the crowd loudly jeered the Christian students.

“I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street,” Harris added to the delight of the pro-abortion crowd while dismissively waving the students off with her hand.

Kamala Harris Wants to Overturn Every Pro-Life Law Nationwide

The National Democratic Party has approved its most pro-abortion platform ever.

The platform outlines past and ongoing efforts that the Biden-Harris administration has initiated to promote abortion. The administration is pressuring pharmacies to distribute abortion pills, funding abortions for military service members, and even requiring every emergency room in the country to kill preborn babies.

The new Democratic Party Platform proudly declares that “with a Democratic Congress, [they]will pass national legislation to make [Roe v. Wade] the law of the land again.” Democrats have repeatedly tried to reinstate Roe in recent years, but a narrow Republican majority in Congress blocked their efforts. If Democrats retain the White House and Senate and gain a few more seats in Congress, they will aggressively advance their abortion extremism.

In fact, the Women’s Health Protection Act, the Democrats’ pro-abortion bill, goes far beyond “codifying Roe.” Roe at least allowed states to pass some Pro-Life laws restricting abortion in pregnancy due to an interest in safeguarding “potential life.” However, the Democratic Party’s proposed legislation would prohibit ALL state Pro-Life protections.

 It does not end with legal abortions nationwide. The Democratic Party’s platform also promises to repeal the critical Hyde Amendment if they gain power. The Hyde Amendment prohibits the use of any federal funds for abortion, except in cases of rape, incest or to save the mother’s life. This life-saving policy, in place since 1977, has enjoyed support from both parties, reflecting the shared belief that taxpayers ought not to be forced to fund something so morally controversial. However, under a Harris administration, Democrats intend to change that.

The Democratic Platform remained unchanged even when Biden dropped out of the race. The platform promises that “in his second term, President Biden” will fill the FDA with ideologues who will support abortion pills, despite their dangers to mothers and their preborn children. Of course, Biden will not serve a second term. But, the unchanged platform signifies Harris fully intends to pursue the same agenda. This extends beyond the bureaucracy, as Harris intends to appoint biased judges who will ignore the constitutional Right to Life in the name of progressivism.

Some believe that the fight to protect preborn Life is over, at least here in our state. This is far from true; abortion companies continue to ship illegal pills into Texas and women travel to other states for abortion. Nevertheless, we have made significant Pro-Life progress in the Lone Star State. However, this new Democratic Party platform warns of how much more danger preborn children will be in, even in states that currently protect Life.

If Harris and the Democrats retain the White House while gaining a few seats in Congress and the Senate, they will enact their anti-Life agenda.

'Disastrous for human rights': Pro-life leaders fear a Kamala Harris presidency

Harris has made it clear that she opposes the U.S. Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022, the 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Earlier this year, pro-life advocates condemned Harris' decision to tour a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Minnesota instead of visiting one of the state's numerous pro-life pregnancy centers.

In a Sunday X post, Lila Rose, the founder and president of the pro-life activist organization Live Action, alluded to Harris' support for the Reproductive FACT Act in 2015 when the Democratic leader was the attorney general of California.

The law required pregnancy resource centers to advertise abortion to clients, and centers that did not offer medical services in the first place had to prominently display a sign saying they were not licensed as a medical facility by the state of California.

The U.S. Supreme Court declared the law unconstitutional in a 5-4 decision released in 2018.

"As VP, she's continued her crusade against pro-life Americans & the preborn," Rose tweeted. "A Harris presidency would be disastrous for human rights."

Kristan Hawkins

Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins called Biden the "most pro-abortion President in U.S. history" in a statement Sunday, saying he left the national stage "in disgrace." Harris won't be any better than Biden when it comes to abortion-related policies, she asserts.

"With Kamala likely as the next Democratic Presidential Candidate, we can expect nothing less than abortion extremism through all nine months, and after birth, for any reason," Hawkins wrote.

"The Pro-Life Generation has been following her around on her abortion-loving campus tour all year, and we know there is nothing she is more committed to than ending the lives of innocent babies & putting mothers' and minors' lives at risk with access to deadly Chemical Abortion Pills and surgical abortions."

In September 2023, the White House announced the vice president's "Fight for Our Freedoms College Tour," in which Harris visited about a dozen campuses in various states to motivate young people to advocate for abortion, voting rights, and LGBT issues.

Marjorie Dannenfelser

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the national pro-life grassroots organization Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, claimed in a statement that Harris would try to force all 50 states to allow late-term abortions.

“Harris is so committed to abortion that she can’t see anything else — including the developmental stages of children before birth or the real needs of women,” Dannenfelser stated.

Dannenfelser highlighted Harris’ September 2023 interview with CBS’ Margaret Brennan, in which she called for restoring Roe v. Wade but did not specify whether she supported gestational limits on abortion. While the 1973 Supreme Court decision allowed for abortion limits after viability, the court believed this point to be anywhere from 24 to 28 weeks gestation.

Dannenfelser noted that in 2022, Harris praised Democratic attorneys general for “taking on, rightly, the [pro-life] crisis pregnancy centers.”

"If Harris Wins, It’s Nuclear Winter for the Family"

What the country needs is a programmatic legislative agenda recognizing the family, the union of husband and wife for their mutual benefit and the procreation and education of children, as the single greatest contributor to the cohesiveness of our social order and the nation; more important than GDP growth or power projection overseas.

THe dedicated effort of Progressives for more than a century to destroy the family, the basic cell of society, through social and cultural transformation will achieve its final victory during a Kamala Harris presidency.

The Harris program has many worrisome points of a material nature—inflation, immigration, limits on free speech—but these pale in comparison with the war against the family, the glue holding our society together.

The war against the family in the United States has been ongoing since the early Nineteenth Century and has been chronicled many times elsewhere. A key feature of this war is to separate the children from the family with the claim that children are so complicated that their transition to good citizens cannot be left to the parents but must be curated by government experts.

The most effective Progressive weapon in this war against the family has been sex education in the public schools: anti-parent, anti-birth, and anti-family. With a pernicious and monstrous aggressiveness, they have all along aimed at leading us human creatures away from our dignity as image of God to a paganism of autonomous freedom, reducing us to a miserable existence as belly, sex and money; the outcome being muddled thinking, a cancer for any republic.

The Biden-Harris Administration has accelerated this war against the family by relentlessly weaponizing the entire apparatus of the executive branch against the family and family values. They have designated abortion opponents as domestic terrorists, exalted men in women’s sports, and promoted homosexuality in grammar schools.

In a complete rout of parental rights, in July, Harris’ native state of California passed the “first ever” bill explicitly prohibiting teachers and staff from notifying parents of their child’s sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. This state law apparently overrides any individual school board’s commitment to parental notification and will ultimately be an absolute prohibition of parental notification. The justification is that the child has the “right” to determine his or her sexual orientation at the instigation of the state but without the toxic moral opinion of the parents.

On the other coast, in the same week, the Massachusetts legislature passed H4750 prohibiting the terms “mother” and “father” on birth certificates, once again “with the child’s rights in mind.”

As absurd as the California and Massachusetts laws are, the Harris Administration will surely hold them up as heroic examples for the rest of the country. Those states adopting similar laws will be rewarded and the holdouts will be punished. Harris often speaks of the “rule of law.” Her rule of law will be used to prevent any parent from objecting to this rights grab. Complain at a school board? Call the Child Services Gestapo! What if the child WANTS a father and mother? What if that child, now in pre-school, speaks of Mommy or Daddy? Call the Child Services Gestapo!

The basic issue dividing Liberals and Conservatives is an understanding of human freedom. Does God and God’s law, natural and supernatural, restrict or perfect human freedom? Conservatives understand, often quite dimly, that God’s law directs men and women to their ultimate purpose for being created. Liberals see God’s law as only negative, an obstacle to the ultimate liberation of the individual. They see their cause as so important that morality demands that power be seized from corrupt persons and institutions and coercively redistributed to the less privileged using any means possible and without apology.

A Harris Administration will surely be a time of praise for sexual deviancy of all types, longer and longer lists of “hate crimes,” and demands for massive extensions of state power. A true nuclear winter for the family.

Nuclear winter is a long period of devastation following a nuclear explosion. Thank God, I haven’t been through one, but I have been through a forest devastated by fire. Little by little, amidst the charcoal air and the black tree trunks arise seedlings and ferns, chirping birds and crawling things. There is a new beginning.

Whatever a Harris Administration will do to destroy the family – and they will do everything they can–the family will arise as fresh growth in the burned forest. It will inevitably survive because it comes from God and will remain until the end of time. Let’s hope by that time we have the anthropology and legislation to recognize the family – nuclear, united, and large – as the most important driver of a robust nation; an agenda that will alter the trajectory of world history.

In 2018, Democrat Senator Kamala Harris of California introduced legislation, the "Do No Harm" Act, to exempt large categories of laws from the nation’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act. The Religious Freedom Restoration Act, signed into law in 1993, sets a tough standard to prevent government actions, including legislation, from interfering with the exercise of religion. 

By contrast, Harris’ legislation, co-sponsored by 31 other Democrats, would exempt laws that relate directly to liberal constituencies, such as labor unions or abortion providers. Neither Congress nor executive branch agencies would have to consider at all the impact on religious freedom of laws or regulations favoring those political interests.

This is a long way from the deep importance and broad definition that America’s Founders placed on religious freedom.

Taxation and money-printing are the fuels that feed the government beast.

Money-printing causes the hidden tax of lost buying power for all the monetary units; it inspires malinvestments, and leads to the boom-bust cycle so well explained by the Austrian School of Economics. But, often, the majority of the population don’t recognize the malfeasance while the government and central bank are engaging in it, most folks only recognize the effects in higher prices, layoffs, and economic depressions.

Likewise, the taxers either couch their acquisitive desire for more money and power in the vainglorious envy-rhetoric of Marx – that being the “take stuff from those you think have more than you do” – or they hide the tax increases by forcing them onto sectors of the economy that many Americans either miss, or think of in terms of “protectionism.”

Thus, it’s no surprise that Kamala Harris wants to explode the debt-driving welfare state by offering $25,000 home payments to first-time buyers and wants to shift the burden of medical bills from those who got the medical care to others who did not.

And it’s no surprise that she wants to weigh down the economy and harm consumers with even more burdensome taxes, a burden that the New York Times reports is estimated to cost $5 TRILLION over 10 years.

Indeed, as Eric Revell reports for Fox Business, Harris is intent on driving more U.S. companies out of the country and hiking the costs of consumers by pushing up to 28 percent the corporate tax rate that Donald Trump and Congressional conservatives in 2017 brought down from 35 to 21 percent.

And Breitbart’s Sean Moran digs into more of what Harris is pushing:

“Harris also claimed she would uphold President Joe Biden’s promise to not raise taxes on those who make $400,00 or less per year. Despite this claim, the Biden-Harris administration has increased Internal Revenue Service (IRS) enforcement, which is estimated to take $20 billion from working-class Americans.”

Harris is proposing a $5 trillion tax increase, the biggest in American history. If passed, it would fundamentally reshape the American economy and the scale in which the government extracts funds from citizens. Her plans include:

Raising the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%: This 33% tax hike would make American businesses less competitive globally. Combined with state levies, it would make American corporations among the highest taxed in the developed world. The country would return to the bad old days of corporate inversions, where businesses flee offshore to reduce their tax costs.

Economists and common sense say workers and customers pay for such corporate tax hikes because companies are forced to lower wages and increase prices to fund them. More than one million American small businesses file as corporations, so this tax hike wouldn't only hit massive corporations like Google and Apple as the Harris campaign implies.

KAMALA HARRIS AND HER TWO SOCIALIST PROPOSALS TO CRUSH THE US ECONOMY

Raising the capital gains tax rate to match the personal rate: This move would nearly double the capital gains tax rate, creating a huge disincentive to invest in America. Access to credit would further decline, and equity prices that ordinary Americans depend on for their retirement would plummet.

 Harris overlooks the good reasons investment income is taxed at a lower rate. For one, it is not indexed to inflation, so investors already face a significant inflation tax on their appreciation. For another, investment income is already taxed at the corporate level, so it deserves to be taxed less when distributed to minimize double taxation.

Ending the step-up in basis for estates: Harris wants to end the tax-free transferring of most estates and treat death as a taxable event for capital gains purposes. This is a massive attack on baby boomers planning their wills and dramatically reduces what they will be able to pass down to their heirs.

 This plan would prevent many small businesses and family farms from passing down their properties. Consider a business or farm that has appreciated from $100,000 to $1 million over the last generation. Many heirs could not afford the associated tax hit of several hundred thousand dollars and would have no choice but to sell to generate the liquidity needed to pay.

Harris' plan attacks a primary aspiration of many small business owners: the opportunity to create generational wealth.

Taxing unrealized capital gains (aka a wealth tax): Harris wants to fundamentally change how taxes are calculated by taxing paper gains in property and investments before they are realized. Such a move would tax expected profits that may not actually materialize if the market falls. Think of the massive penalty to investors in companies like Pelaton (stock price down 98%) or WeWork (delisted after bankruptcy) that would be taxed on phantom gains that never materialize.

Small business owners who work for decades to increase the value of their business would be hit with major tax bills year after year as punishment for this appreciation. Ordinary Americans would see their retirement accounts decline as investors pull out of public markets. 

Allowing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to expire: Harris opposes the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and plans to let it expire as scheduled at the end of next year. This would create a massive tax increase for Main Street, which would have to say goodbye to a 20% small business tax deduction, immediate expensing of capital, and lower tax rates.

The TCJA led to historic shared economic prosperity in 2018 and 2019, and it has allowed many small businesses to weather the Biden-Harris storm. The tax hike that would accompany its elimination would be the final straw for many small businesses.

These are just some of the tax hikes a Harris administration would seek. Harris also wants to increase the top marginal personal rate to 44.6% and quintuple the stock buyback tax.

Harris' tax plans are a giant leap toward socialism, especially when you consider how they'd be expanded to more and more taxpayers once implemented. 

It's up to political independents, who may disagree with Republicans on some issues, to vote conservative this election to prevent this tax Armageddon from occurring.

Tim Walz defended communism in China to his students: ‘Everyone is the same and everyone shares’

For decades, Walz told his students that “communism” in China meant that “everyone is the same and everyone shares. The doctor and the construction worker make the same.”

Now you understand why he and Kamala support rationing, since it worked so well in China. Except … it didn’t.

Then the “free” food ran out, and they were sent home to starve.

So much for communism’s promise of free food.

Walz also tried to justify the one-child policy by saying that “the Chinese population was so large,” and that the only consequence for violating it was that “the family pays a tax.”

But hundreds of millions of Chinese women didn’t just pay a tax, they got the axe. Their babies were ripped out of their wombs by cesarean section by Red doctors who went on to sever the fallopian tubes of those who violated the one-child policy.

As governor of Minnesota, he seems to have looked to China for inspiration during the COVID lockdowns. Why else would he have locked people in their homes for an extended period of time or told police to shoot paintballs at people who dared to come outside to get a little fresh air?

Also troubling was his willingness to repeal a law protecting women against being coerced into an abortion.

This means that, thanks to Walz, a man in Minnesota can force a pregnant girlfriend to have an abortion without consequences, just as Chinese officials for decades forced women to have abortions without consequences.

As far as China itself is concerned, Walz has repeatedly urged that we do not regard it as an “adversary.”

But an adversary it is. And an adversary it will always be – as long as it is ruled by the Chinese Communist Party that Tim Walz, apparently, still regards with admiration.

Tim Walz – an admirer of Communist China – defended China’s brutal one-child policy, which included forced, late-term abortions. As governor of Minnesota, he took a page out of China’s book and overturned a law that made it a crime to coerce women to get abortions.

A few years ago, it would have been unthinkable to make abortion – the destruction of unborn children – the centerpiece of a presidential campaign.

But that’s exactly what the Harris-Walz campaign is doing.

It’s not just that they have abandoned former President Bill Clinton’s “safe, legal, and rare” formulation and embraced the “right” to kill an unborn baby for any reason, at any time, up to and including the moment of birth – and even after birth, should the baby survive the abortion.

That, sadly, is now the position taken by all leading Democrats.

But Harris-Walz have gone even further. They have elevated this “right” above all others, including those listed in the Bill of Rights.

Abortion is, according to Vice President Kamala Harris, “a woman’s most fundamental right,” meaning that, in her view, it trumps freedom of speech, freedom of religion, or even freedom of conscience.

But it’s even worse. Not only do the two support zero limits on abortion, they want to overturn pro-life laws in dozens of states and impose their radical views on the entire nation. They want to increase funding for Planned Parenthood and shut down crisis pregnancy clinics.

Democrats like Joe Biden used to speak of abortion with a tinge, perhaps contrived, of regret. But Kamala Harris has dropped the pretense. She actually celebrates the act of stopping a beating heart, as when she gave a shout-out to Arizona Senator Eva Burch for “bravely sharing her story” of how she would be having an abortion.

On that same national abortion tour we also saw Harris, in a first for any national candidate, campaign at an actual abortuary in Minnesota. She grinned and cackled through her speech as usual, ignoring the fact that the very ground she was standing upon was soaked with the blood of thousands of innocent victims.

Given all this and more, it didn’t seem possible that Harris could pick a running mate who is even more radical than she is on the abortion issue.

But in Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, she seems to have found one.

One troubling sign is that he has deep connections to the Chinese Communist Party and is an admirer of the Communist regime. He has traveled to China 30 times on China’s dime. This is the very definition of a fellow traveler.
This means that, unlike Biden, Walz’ connection with the Communist Chinese is more ideological than financial. This, in my view, makes him even more a danger to American liberties.

Jon Kolb, the former battalion commander for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s (D) National Guard unit responded to reports that the governor had suggested he retired as a “Command Sergeant Major,” and noted that Walz did not “successfully complete any assignment” at that rank.

As Breitbart News previously reported, Walz had previously listed on his official biography, that he had retired at a higher rank than the one he had actually retired at:

Walz served in the Minnesota Army National Guard and retired at the rank of master sergeant, or an E-8. However, on his official website bio, he lists a higher rank that he served at for a short period that ultimately was rescinded, as he did not complete all the requirements to serve at that ran. However, his bio implies that he retired at the rank of command sergeant major, or an E-9.

The reference to Walz being a “retired command sergeant major” was later removed by the Harris campaign, and Walz’s biography was updated to note that the governor had “once served at the command sergeant major rank,” according to Politico.

Retired Capt. Corey Bjertness, who had served as the chaplain for Walz’s unit in the National Guard commented on Walz leaving his unit prior to a deployment, in an interview with the New York Post.

“In our world, to drop out after a WARNORD [warning order] is issued is cowardly, especially for a senior enlisted guy,” Bjertness said in a statement.
